Twists and Turns

In this series of "twists and turns" I'm seeking to capture feeling states in an elemental way, while picking up a thread of personal narrative that has always been present in my work. The abstract, curving shapes have become predominant over the figure, and in some of the pieces they take on a figurative presence which carries the narrative content.

The works are painted in acrylic, alkyd and oil on primed paper. The larger pieces are composed of sections which are mounted on ragboard to fit together.
