Thread the Needle
oil and alkyd on paper, 45" x 30"

This series of paintings, done on canvas with oil and acrylic, is inspired
by Indian mythology, where the blue/black (dark) is denoted as the source
of energy and light. I have chosen a few stories and shown them in my
way. I mainly use blue and white, sometimes a little red and yellow too.
To get the rough effect, I used my fingers.

These paintings pick up a thread of personal narrative that has always been at the heart of my work. I have been ³painting my story² while moving through abstract and figurative cycles. This semi-abstract series of ³twists and turns² seeks to capture feeling states in an elemental way, focusing on the present rather than on the past.
